EAF LINZ

The model illustrates an electric arc furnace (EAF)—a central component of modern steel production. Presented as a cutaway view of an industrial facility, it offers a glimpse inside, where LED effects even make the characteristic electric arc visible. This allows visitors to experience the electric arc melting process firsthand.

The exhibit is complemented by a highly scaled-down model of the voestalpine site in Linz, which shows the location and size of the EAF within the overall site. In this way, the technical facility becomes comprehensible not only in detail but also within its industrial context.
