KULTURFORUM BERLIN

A defining feature of the design for the Museum of the 20th Century at the Kulturforum in Berlin is the uniformly perforated facades that envelop the three building structures like a veil. They were perforated using a laser cutter and then 3D CNC-milled. This creates the impression of light transmission despite the use of an opaque material.
